USA Today- Exclusive: TV buzz shifts momentum in Week 2

Three remakes again dominated offline conversation about new TV shows last week — MacGyver, Lethal Weapon and The Exorcist — but the talk turned negative for all but Fox's Weapon.

A weekly survey by Engagement Labs' Keller Fay Group, shared exclusively with USA TODAY, also reveals that ABC's Designated Survivor, NBC's This Is Us and ABC's Speechless were the most praised of the 12 new broadcast series introduced so far. (The three are also the only new series already extended for full seasons.) Fox's Son of Zorn, ABC's Notorious and CBS' MacGyver generated the most negative talk. The survey is based on a statistically representative sample of 1,450 viewers ages 13 to 69, contacted from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2, who described which shows they watched, liked and discussed.
